Gamecube or N64 Controller to USB adapter circuit
A small circuit which makes it possible to use a Gamecube or Nintendo 64 controller on a PC's USB port.
Product Description:
Nintendo 64 and Gamecube controllers are excellent controllers which are quite appropriate
for many PC games. With this circuit, you can easily modify a controller or build a cable which can connect a
Gamecube or Nintendo 64 controller to a PC equipped with an USB port.
Supported controllers:
Standard Gamecube controllers (Official and 3rd party)
Wireless Gamecube controllers (Known to work with Nintendo's Wavebird and an Intec controller)
N64 Controllers (Official, and most 3rd party, including the Hori Mini)
Should support all accessories acting as a standard N64 or GC controller.
New!: Vibration function/rumble supported! Tested with project64 and dolphin. (since adapter firmware 2.1)
Not supported:
N64 Memory cards
Simultaneous use of a N64 controller and Gamecube controller on the same adapter.
System requirements:
The firmware auto-detects which type of controller (Gc or N64) is connected. On the PC side,
no custom drivers are needed. It works fine with Windows (2K/XP/Win7 32&64 bit), Linux and MacOS X.
It should also work with other operating systems supporting USB and HID joysticks. Vibration only
tested on Windows with project64 and dolphin.
gc_n64_usb: Pre-assembled and pre-programmed (v2.2). Just solder your USB and gamepad wires.
